Real or True Selenite is truly an amazing stone, while fragile it is sooo metaphysically strong. All of the benefits of this gorgeous stone make it one simply can't live with out, Selenite is in just about every room of the house. Often I find that when we are in need of protective stones we automatically turn to our Black Obsidians and Black Tourmalines, but I am so in love with the protection that true Selenite brings. Its high vibrations protect in such a light and never ending way that it has become a necessary crystal for me. Selenite VS Satin Spar Both True Selenite and Satin Spar are from the Gypsum family, along with Desert Rose, each is just formed a little different. It is among one of the most mislabeled crystals in the crystal community. Selenite is clear and is formed in sheets that range in thickness but often clear as glass with visible growth layers. Satin Spar is considered "fibrous" and a milky white color with a fiber optic shine. These two crystals do have similar qualities and properties and both with charge your other crystals and minerals, but if you are looking for that perfect crystal to cleanse and charge your other crystals and gemstone jewelry I always suggest a slice of true Selenite Crystal as it's power is the strongest.
